as south park so eloquently noticed, there are two rules to time travel. there is "back to the future rules", where it is possible to travel back and forth through time at will, or "terminator rules", where it is only possible to travel backward in time. yes, i am a geek. otherwise, i wouldn't have noticed that there are two different rules that govern sci-fi vampires: "buffy rules" and "blade rules".
first off, let's talk about how people vamp out. in the buffyverse, people have to be bitten, then drink the blood of the vampire in order to turn. in the world of blade, you just gotta be bitten and not die. either that or be born a vampire. in buffy's world, vampires can't be born because they're already dead. death plus death doesn't equal life...with the exception of connor, son of angel and darla. then again, no one knows what the fuck he is anyway. he's neither human nor vampire.
next, weaknesses. for blade, it is any weakness mentioned in buffy minus holy water and crosses. the reason behind this is that blade's vamps deal more with biology while buffyverse vamps deal more with mysticism. biology + holy water don't do shit.
fuck, that's it? damn, i thought this would fill out more. aw, fuck me.
