today's rant: those silly nazis..., originally 9/12/09

today, i read an article online about some people speaking their part about the healthcare debate.  when i think about the healthcare debate, i think "i wonder if we can look at how other countries do it" or "how can we fix the economics of the healthcare system itself before nationalizing it?  i'm sure there is wasteful spending somewhere."  when these protesters think about the healthcare debate, they think obama is hitler.  they have signs with obama's face with hitler's mustache.  you can see the connection there.  national healthcare = nazi-ruled europe.  yeah.  right.  here's the problem:  how do we go from "please don't raise my taxes" to "you're the most evil person in history" by completely skipping over the whole "extermination of the jews, gypsies, and homosexuals" thing?

this is fucking stupid.  obama is not hitler.  bush wasn't hitler either.  save the hitler comparison for people who deserve it.  people like stalin and saddam.  they had the two prerequisites to be compared to hitler:  they also systematically killed a bunch of people and also had fucked up mustaches.  i know arguments can be made for obama and bush systematically causing death, but get this straight:  you need the mustache to be compared to hitler.  without it, you're just a douche bag.

this debate is getting out of control.  i haven't seen this so many people blaming someone for something they haven't done yet since "terminator 2".  save the hitler comparisons.  i'm sure we all have some jackass at work with a name tag who we'd like to tag the name "adolf" onto.  my fellow republicans:  do you think you're breaking new ground doing this?  no.  NO!  you're not!  the dems did the same thing to bush.  it's old.  think of something new, fuckards.

now, this is just my opinion, but maybe if we didn't spend billions of dollars a day on bullshit wars, bailouts, and stimulus packages, we'd have some money to pump into nationalized healthcare.
