today's rant: printing from a website, originally 8/1/09

why is it that every time i print out something on the internet, there is always this one little extra line of code or text that makes it necessary to use one page more than what is necessary?  i know that everything on the internet wants you to "go paperless" when paying bills and shit, but what the fuck?  i'm trying to print out directions.  that's extra ink that i don't want to pay for and extra paper i don't want to have to look around my apartment for.  you know how expensive printer ink is, you son of a bitch?  every other ebay order i make is more printer ink, and i'm paying out of the ass for it.  you assholes sure have some nerve.  what is your beef against paper as a medium?  it was here millenia before you, so show some respect.  fuckers.
