yesterday, i caught myself saying "islamic fundamentalist" when talking about the shit going down in india. i felt so sick to my stomach when it hit my teeth. then again, i was at work in front of my employers. so, instead of saying "crazy fuckin asshole who's pissed off over issues that have no bearing in the modern world and can't seem to look to the future and are therefore doomed to suffer in an imcomplete and meaningless life" like i wanted to, i said "islamic fundamentalist". (please note, the aforementioned "crazy fuckin asshole..." description can be applied to most people who are responsible for a great deal of our social problems, including, but not limited to, white supremecists, terrorists, religious right, totalitarians, certain politicians, etc...)
i blame the current administration for forcing these phrases down my throat for the past 6 years. what's worse is that the media has followed suit like a fucking whore. here are a few phrases taken from yahoo news articles about good ol' GW & friends and what they really mean:
antiterror eavesdropping operations = spying on people
codify the capacity for future presidents to take action to protect our country = let presidents act like assholes
former top aide and presidential adviser = bitch
"I bring a message from the American people: we're honored to call the German people friends and allies," = we were right and now you know it
faith-based organizations = religious cults
the following are some phrases that need to be stopped along with what they really mean:
white supremecist = racist asshole
3rd-world/under-developed country = poor country
middle-east crisis = islamic cluster-fuck
guerillas = bungholes with guns who don't know what their doing
guantanamo detainees = never getting out of jail
day laborers = illegal immigrants
paris hilton = media whore
fat-free = taste-free
"natural male enhancement" = your penis will get bigger...we think...maybe...if you're lucky...ok, it will actually shrink.
