oh my god, they killed kenny! originally 7/5/06

in case you haven't heard, Enron founder Kenneth Lay died of heart disease earlier today.  talk about being such a fat cat that your heart chokes on it.  don't get me wrong, i'm not happy that he's dead.  i would've been happier if he served his time in prison.  in my opinion, he got off light with a heart attack.  it's no where near the pain he should've endured being bubba's bitch in cell block 3.  he and skilling ruined the lives of investors, company workers, and their families, and he should've been punished for it.  had he known he'd be dead in five years, maybe he would've had second thoughts on screwing thousands of people out of billions of dollars.

what good is stealing all that money if you're not gonna live long enough to enjoy it?  let's see, Enron went bankrupt in '01, so that would've made Lay 59.  how much shit does a person need to buy at the age of 59?  jesus christ!  if you were 59, you'd need only 3 things in life:  food, a hobby, and health insurance.  you don't need to live a lifestyle in which you can take the stick that's shoved up your ass, swing it around in a crowded area, and shout at the top of your lungs "My shit doesn't stink!!!"  that's basically what Lay did on a nearly constant basis.  no one is supposed to be that greedy that late in their life.  if he was 40 or younger, i'd understand it because people are still trying to reach financial independence at that age.  but come the fuck on!  at 59 as the founder of a major company, he was set for life...and he wanted more.  he probably thought that he had anywhere between 10 to 25 years left, and he wanted more.  you could see that kind of inferiority complex from space.

solution:  give skilling the prison time that lay would've got added on to his own.  since he was swimming in the same pool of greed and shit as lay, put the burden on him, now.  you may be thinking "that's not fair.  why do that?"  here's why.  when skilling eventually dies and goes to hell, he can kick the fuck out of lay for taking the easy way out of jail time.  then, there will be balance in the universe.
